A stunning Regimental pattern Lance Cap with Orignal Feather Plume, It is quite possible given the condition that this particular example was ordered and worn at the Coronation of Kind George the Fith in 1912.

It is worth noting that Captain (later Major) Charles Edgar Bryant DSO entered the Army in 1905 rising to Captain in 1914 before serving in the First World War as Adjutant, He was awarded the DSO in 1915, Captain Bryant was attached to the Royal Flying Corps in 1916, he gained his bar to his DSO for "conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty" in 1917.
